Amid the rapid global spread of COVID-19 and rising community concern, the Pearland Chinese Association (TXPCA) held an online seminar titled “COVID-19 Prevention and Home Quarantine Information Sharing” on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM via Zoom (Meeting ID: 642-330-305).
The purpose of this virtual meeting was to provide practical, actionable advice through community sharing. Several Pearland neighbors with relevant expertise or experience served as presenters, including Rongyu, NaLiu, and digicat_Ygao.

2. Early Symptoms and When to Seek Medical Care (NaLiu)The session included introductions to early symptoms, distinctions from seasonal flu, and appropriate steps to take when medical attention is needed.
3. Practical Guidelines for Home Quarantine (NaLiu)Advice was given on how to set up home spaces, minimize cross-contamination among family members, and organize daily routines effectively during quarantine.
4. Central Air Conditioning and Possible Transmission Risks (digicat_Ygao)The presenter outlined different types of home HVAC systems and their airflow patterns, highlighting potential transmission risks and offering mitigation suggestions within households.
5. Open DiscussionParticipants had the opportunity to ask questions and share concerns on topics such as disinfection and community preparedness.
