Pearland Chinese Association Hosts College Admissions Seminar

On August 15, the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) hosted a free community seminar, "U.S. College Admissions: How to Avoid Common Detours," at the Pearland Library Teaching Theater.

The seminar featured Dr. Hongyu Wang, an Associate Professor at UTHealth Houston and a member of the admissions committee at McGovern Medical School. With extensive experience in college admissions guidance, Dr. Wang shared practical insights on college planning, school selection, application strategies, and preparation.

Parents and students actively participated, listened attentively, and engaged in discussions and questions throughout the event. The seminar provided valuable guidance to help families better understand the U.S. college admissions process and begin planning early and strategically.
