Pearland Chinese Association Hosts Free Texas Estate Planning Seminar

On April 25, the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) hosted a free community seminar on Texas Estate Planning, providing local residents with practical information about inheritance and estate planning.

The seminar featured attorneys Johanna Chen and Selma Lara, who discussed Texas inheritance laws, wills, trusts, Transfer on Death Deeds (TODDs), and strategies for minimizing the time, cost, and complexity often associated with probate.

The attorneys also addressed common misconceptions among Chinese-American families and shared practical guidance on planning ahead so that property and assets can be distributed according to one's wishes.

The seminar helped community members better understand the importance of proactive estate planning and provided valuable legal information for families preparing for the future.
