Periodontal health and dental insurance (1.20.2019)

On January 20, 2019, the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) invited Dr. Yandong Yan, a local dentist, to host a seminar on periodontal health and dental insurance.

During the seminar, Dr. Yan explained the importance of maintaining periodontal health, including prevention of gum disease, identifying common symptoms, and daily oral care practices. He also provided guidance on dental insurance in the United States, helping attendees understand coverage options, claim procedures, and how to select plans suitable for their needs.

Residents actively asked questions, and Dr. Yan patiently addressed each one, offering practical advice and real-life examples. Participants expressed that the seminar was highly informative, increasing their awareness of oral health and helping them make better decisions regarding dental insurance.
