Pearland Chinese Association Hosts AI and Precision Medicine Initiative Seminar (8.19.2023)

On August 19, 2023, the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) hosted an informative community seminar. The event began with board member James Jiang, who discussed the potential impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on everyday life, the workplace, and education, encouraging attendees to better understand and prepare for technological change.

Youth volunteers from PROMIS / AYLUS Pearland then presented the Precision Medicine Initiative led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. They highlighted the importance of Asian American participation in this research and encouraged community members to support efforts that advance medical science and health equity.

The event successfully raised awareness of both emerging technologies and public health research, receiving positive feedback from attendees.
