PCA Hybrid Seminar on Self-Defense and Proper Firearm Use (12.11.2021)

On December 11, 2021, the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) successfully held a hybrid seminar titled "Self-Defense and Proper Use of Firearms", conducted both in-person at Pearland Westside Library and online via livestream. In light of the increasing number of shooting incidents nationwide and heightened safety concerns during the holiday season, the seminar aimed to equip community members with crucial knowledge on personal protection and firearm safety.

PCA partnered with Night Fox Arms, a reputable firearms training organization in Houston, and invited several distinguished speakers, including senior technical instructors, an active-duty HPD police officer, and an experienced attorney from U.S. LawShield specializing in self-defense law.

During the two-hour seminar, experts covered several important topics:

• Laws related to carrying or using deadly force and self-defense

• How to respond correctly to emergency or dangerous situations

• Home-defense strategies and firearm selection for concealed carry

• Basic firearm handling and safety techniques
