College application guidance seminar (2020.12.19)

To help students and parents better understand the U.S. college and medical school application process, the Pearland Chinese Association invited Dr. Hongyu Wang to host an online college application guidance seminar. The seminar was held on Saturday, December 19, 2020, from 3:00–5:00 PM via an online platform, allowing community members to participate safely.

Dr. Wang’s two children graduated from Stanford University and are currently attending Harvard University, and he himself has extensive knowledge and experience in U.S. college and medical school applications. The seminar focused on college selection strategies and key points for application essays, making it particularly valuable for 12th-grade students currently applying to colleges and their parents.

During the session, Dr. Wang answered parents’ questions live, helping families plan their children’s application strategies and address practical concerns. Parents and students who attended the seminar reported that they gained significant insights and found it extremely helpful.
