PCA 2022 Online Spring Festival Celebration (2.2022)

In February 2022, due to ongoing health precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) celebrated the Lunar New Year with its 2022 Online Spring Festival Short Video Show. This online format allowed the community to safely participate in the festive celebrations while maintaining social distancing.

Alongside the virtual showcase, PCA conducted a program evaluation to recognize outstanding performances. Participants submitted creative short videos featuring traditional dances, music performances, skits, and other cultural presentations. PCA volunteers and community members carefully reviewed each video and evaluated them based on creativity, presentation, cultural significance, and overall impact.

The evaluation process provided performers with constructive feedback and recognition, while community members enjoyed a diverse and engaging Spring Festival program from home. This initiative preserved the festive spirit of the Lunar New Year and encouraged members of all ages to actively participate in cultural celebrations despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
