On February 16, 2025, the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) successfully hosted the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival at the Pearland Recration Center, welcoming over 2,000 guests from the Greater Houston area—including Pearland, Manvel, Sugar Land, Katy, Cypress, Woodland, and other Texas cities—as well as visitors from California, Georgia, Florida, New York, and even Mexico.
The festival featured nearly 60 booths offering traditional foods, cultural demonstrations, and exhibits from non-profit organizations. Guests enjoyed a vibrant display of traditional Chinese culture, including dragon and lion dances, alongside performances from other cultures, such as Indian and Filipino dances, celebrating Pearland’s diverse community.
The event was proudly supported by the City of Pearland, and generous sponsorship came from MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC), HEB, BP, Girl Glow Fitness, Light and Salt Association, Engie, Sophie S. Zheng P.C., Clutch City Insurance, Mango / Bonchon, All Win Insurance, TWFG Jenny Xu Insurance, ToFu Town, Noodle Master, NEXS Medical, and SZECHUAN SPICE.
The Lunar New Year Festival not only showcased the rich diversity and heritage of Asian cultures but also strengthened community connections and provided a joyful, family-friendly environment for all attendees. PCA thanks all sponsors, volunteers, performers, and participants for making this festival a memorable celebration of culture and community.
