Pearland Chinese Association Volunteers Join Rice University Lung Cancer Awareness Walk (11.16.2025)

On November 16, 2025, volunteers from the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA), together with youth volunteers from PROMIS / AYLUS Pearland, participated in the Lung Cancer Awareness Walk held at Rice University Stadium. This meaningful annual event aims to raise public awareness about lung cancer prevention, early detection, and support for affected families.

PCA adult members and youth volunteers walked and ran alongside hundreds of participants. Through their active involvement, they helped spread knowledge about healthy living, early screening, and community support for those battling lung cancer. The youth volunteers also assisted with event check-in, guiding participants, distributing materials, and maintaining a positive and uplifting atmosphere throughout the walk.

By taking part in this community health event, PCA and its youth groups demonstrated their commitment to public service, health education, and civic engagement. The association looks forward to continuing its collaboration with local organizations to promote wellness and support meaningful causes in the Greater Houston area.
