2024 Gabo Pearland Lunar New Year Festival (2.24.2024)

On February 24, 2024, the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) successfully hosted the 2024 Lunar New Year Festival at the Pearland Recreation Center. Families from across the Greater Houston area， including diverse cultural backgrounds—gathered to celebrate the Year of the Dragon in a festive and joyful atmosphere.

The event featured a wide variety of activities, including lion and dragon dances, cultural performances, raffle drawings, craft workshops, cultural exhibits, children’s games, and other interactive activities suitable for all ages. Dozens of food and cultural booths offered dumplings, spring rolls, rice cakes, specialty snacks, traditional handicrafts, and more bringing an authentic taste of Lunar New Year to the community.

Families especially enjoyed hands-on cultural experiences such as paper cutting, knot tying, writing the Chinese “Fu” character, and other festive crafts that allowed children to learn about Chinese traditions while having fun.

The celebration brought together community organizations, local businesses, and dedicated volunteers who helped create a warm, lively, and meaningful holiday experience. PCA extends its heartfelt appreciation to all supporters and looks forward to continuing to bring inclusive and culturally enriching events to the Pearland community.
