To enrich the lives of visiting grandparents and elders in the Pearland community, the Pearland Chinese Association established the “Pearland Grandparents Choir.” Since its founding, the choir has received enthusiastic support from community members. Special thanks go to Ms. Pan for her dedicated musical guidance, and to PCA member Mr. Hui Li for generously opening his home as the rehearsal venue, allowing the choir to practice comfortably and consistently.
Rehearsals have been filled with laughter, warm conversations, and beautiful singing. Through music, the seniors have found joy, friendship, and a sense of belonging. After rehearsals, the group often holds small birthday celebrations for members—simple, heartfelt gatherings that make the elders feel appreciated and loved.
The Grandparents Choir delivered a wonderful performance at the Spring Festival Gala, receiving enthusiastic applause and high praise from the audience. Many seniors shared that joining the choir brought not only music into their lives but also a newfound community in a foreign land.
The Pearland Chinese Association expressed its commitment to continuing to create meaningful activities for visiting elders, helping them feel welcomed, connected, and supported during their stay in Pearland.
