On October 25, 2024, the U.S. Shaolin Martial Arts Skills Selection Competition was held in Houston, jointly organized by the North America Shaolin Association and the U.S. National Martial Arts Federation. The competition aimed to identify and showcase top martial arts talents, promoting traditional Shaolin culture and excellence in martial arts across the United States.
Representatives from the Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) attended the opening ceremony, demonstrating the association’s continued support for cultural and martial arts initiatives. The presence of PCA highlighted the strong connections between the local Chinese community and organizations dedicated to preserving and promoting Chinese cultural heritage.
