PCA 2021 Annual Member Meeting (Zoom) (2021.10.30)

PCA Annual Member Meeting – October 30, 2021 (Zoom)The Pearland Chinese Association (PCA) successfully held its 2021 Annual Member Meeting via Zoom on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.


Board Members Present (9):

Hua Tian, Jie Wu, Xiaoling Liu, Jun Liu, Xiao Xiao, Dong Yan, Xiang Huang, Zhiyong Jiang

Board Members Absent (3):

Hongli Jing, Zhiyin Yu, Brian Liu

TXPCA Members Present:

Mingxia, Hao Ding, Carol, Sophie, Liran, Rongyu Liu


The meeting addressed key agenda items reflecting PCA’s progress, operational updates, and future plans.

1. Approval of Membership Fee Extension

Due to the pandemic and its impact on community activities, PCA passed a resolution to extend all existing membership fees for one additional year, ensuring fairness and continued support for all members.

2. Summary of 2021 Activities

PCA reviewed the community events held throughout 2021, including online cultural programs, youth volunteering activities, virtual seminars, charity efforts, and pandemic-safe holiday events. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, PCA continued to serve and support the local Chinese and Asian communities.

3. 2021 Financial Report

The treasurer presented a transparent financial report summarizing the year’s income, expenditures, and budget allocations. PCA reaffirmed its commitment to responsible financial management.

4. 2022 Activity Plan & Launch of 2022 Online Lunar New Year Short-Video Gala

The board outlined the activity plan for 2022, including cultural workshops, community gatherings (pending safety conditions), and expanded youth programs.The meeting also officially launched the 2022 Online Lunar New Year Short-Video Spring Festival Gala, inviting members to participate and submit creative video performances.

5. Suggestions & Feedback

Members offered constructive suggestions regarding activity scheduling, youth engagement, community outreach, and online program formats. PCA expressed sincere gratitude for their contributions.

6. Introduction of New Board Members

The meeting welcomed additional new board members who joined PCA to support future operations and strengthen the leadership team.

7. Board Election & Leadership Transition

The association conducted its regular board election, completing the transition of leadership roles according to PCA bylaws. The newly elected board will begin its term in 2022.


The 2021 PCA Annual Member Meeting concluded successfully with appreciation to all board members, volunteers, and community participants for their dedication during a challenging year.
